Math Activity: Measurement — Standard and Non-Standard Units

Children of Grade II had a Math activity on the topic “Measurement — Standard and Non-Standard Units”. The children were taught and shown how to measure the lengths and heights of different things using both standard and non-standard units.  They learnt: Non-standard units are body parts which were used long ago to measure and; Standard units are used to measure length, height, weight, and capacity. For example, metre is the main unit used to measure lengths and heights.
