A
guest lecture was taken by Miss Shravani, Agricultural Forest Officer, for the
CIE segment. The lecture was on ‘Agriculture’. She enlightened the students
on the use of chemicals in the form of pesticides and fertilizers. She explained
that it is harmful to us and it should be avoided.
She pointed out the
need for safe agriculture by using biodegradable fertilizers like vermicompost
which is very safe. The children raised several doubts and realized the
importance of safe agriculture for healthy living.
