Leader in You

  • A leader is one who knows the way. Goes the way and shows the way.
  • If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.
  • Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.
  • The function of leadership is to produce more leaders, not more followers.
  • The supreme quality of leadership is integrity.
  • A leader takes people where they want to go. A great leader takes people where they don’t necessarily want to go, but ought to be.
  • Leadership is the art of mobilizing others to want to struggle for shared aspirations.
  • A leader’s role is to raise people’s aspirations for what they can become and to release their energies so they will try to get there.
  • Effective leadership is not about making speeches or being liked; leadership is defined by results not attributes.
  • A good objective of leadership is to help those who are doing poorly to do well and to help those who are doing well to do even better.
