"MATTER IN
OUR SURROUNDINGS", was explained to the students of grade IX through an
activity conducted in the lab. Students learned about the phase change and
latent heat of vaporization and fusion. Students were excited to see the temperature
consistency of boiling of water and melting ice through demonstration.
Inter conversion of matter was also demonstrated to
children by heating Iodine and Ammonium Chloride to make them understand the direct
change of solid to gaseous form termed as Sublimation.
