Oakridgers
took an active part in the Ramakrishna Mission that celebrated the 150th Birth
Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on 20 -02-2013 at RK Beach. 15,000 students
participated from around 30 schools in Visakhapatnam. Oakridge was an active part
of it. We were given 8 min slot to
showcase a cultural show. Students of classes 7 & 8 acted out a mime show
on peace. While the remaining kids from classes 6, 7 & 8 along with 14 teachers’
participated in the rally form Vuda park to Ramakrishna Beach. The Rath Yatra,
comprising 12 vehicles, had messages on education, science and culture and tours
various parts of the state.
