The “Number” Game



Mrs Bhavani Meruva mother of Siddharth Meruva came for the guest lecturer and she enlightened the children on how the numbers 0 to 9 can be used creatively and innovatively to draw various shapes and pictures .She encouraged the children to use their own imagination and make different pictures with the numbers. She played the game with them to increase their concentration.
She also guided them that children should give respect to elders and listen and try to learn from each one of them and how it would make their future blessed and ideal.





The Little Master Chef’s



Children of class 3 made a healthy breakfast in the class. They were divided into five groups to make a yummy and nutritious breakfast for themselves which should have food from all the food groups. They made cornflakes, milk with raisins in it; they made fruit salad with fresh fruits and dry fruits. They also made sandwich by using whole grain bread, cheese and vegetables. This activity was done to promote healthy eating among children and know the nutrients which they get from different food groups .They enjoyed making the meal for them and loved to know the nutrients which are there in their food. They explained it really well that how their breakfast is best to start the day, how will it make the person healthy and energetic when they will have this nutritious breakfast. 



Guest Lecture on Fun Facts for Grade II



Children of class II had a guest lecture by Mrs. Nisha Thomas (mother of Oakridger Denise Thomas). She had a good interaction with children and the topic she chose was Fun Facts. All the children enjoyed the guest lecture and enthusiastically participated in answering to the questions.
Some of the questions were Which animal cannot jump?, What is the color of Lobster’s blood? Which animal’s tongue is blue in color?, Which animal does not have a brain? Which animal will stand and sleep? Which animal’s milk is pink in color? She also taught our children how to tie a shoe lace with a song. The children had a good learning with lots of fun.

Data Handling - Math Activity by Grade II



Children of class II did a Math activity on the topic “Data Handling”. The children were divided into four groups. Each child was asked to bring leaves from home or collect it from the school garden. The children were asked to count the leaves they have collected and they had to write the score on the table. In each group the children had to give the information of the highest score and the lowest score. By this activity children learned how to collect, sort and arrange information through Data Handling.









SDP on Diwali for Grade 1



Mrs. Nidhi Agarwal was invited as a Guest today, for the Student Development Program on 29th October. She spoke on the festival Diwali, a very apt topic for the festive season.

Topics like why this festival is celebrated, different stories believed in different states of India and how to celebrate safe Diwali, was shared with children of grade 1. 

Stories were narrated, which grabbed the attention of our young listeners. The stories were then enacted by children. There was a lot of enthusiasm to participate, so children were divided into groups for the role play.

At the end, tips on how to celebrate safe Diwali were harped upon.
