Children of class 3 made a healthy breakfast in
the class. They were divided into five groups to make a yummy and nutritious
breakfast for themselves which should have food from all the food groups. They
made cornflakes, milk with raisins in it; they made fruit salad with fresh
fruits and dry fruits. They also made sandwich by using whole grain bread,
cheese and vegetables. This activity was done to promote healthy eating among
children and know the nutrients which they get from different food groups .They
enjoyed making the meal for them and loved to know the nutrients which are
there in their food. They explained it really well that how their breakfast is
best to start the day, how will it make the person healthy and energetic when
they will have this nutritious breakfast.
