The students of IX
C had a practical on FOOD TESTS. They examined common foods in our diet in
the presence of carbohydrates (sugars and starch), proteins and fats.
They took a sample of food that they had for lunch and conducted the food
tests using iodine, benedicts reagents and biuret tests to find out the
presence of these nutrients in the food that we eat. The children
realized the importance of nutrients and why it is necessary to eat the right
food.
