Children of Grade 1
were introduced to a Math Activity on 26th June in the Classroom. They were
divided into groups and 10 straws were given to each group. The teacher went to
each table and asked which number is before, after and between to
understand the concept. They were asked to discuss with fellow members and
answer.
Similarly, they
were asked to show more and less bundles of straws and which
number is smaller or greater, to understand the concept of what is more and
less.
It was a learning
activity to develop thinking, speaking and observation skills. It also
encouraged them to work in a team.
