An activity on Antonyms was held
on 16th July in the class for Grade 1 children. Two sided
placards with Antonyms written on it were given to children,
like the word “DAY” (with picture) on one side and its
opposite “NIGHT” (with picture) on the other side. Children had to
see one side, spell the word and mention the opposite of the word. This activity helped them to understand that Antonyms means the opposite of any word.
It was interesting to see the little ones come up with their own answers and some trying to make a perfect guess with the help of pictures while the others interested in only holding on to the placards.
