Project Work by Children of Grade II on Habitats

In an interesting Project on ‘Habitats,’ children beautifully showcased different habitats of different animals, birds, insects, and reptiles. All the children actively took part in the project activity and amazed everyone with their creativity and talent.

Field Trip to Jammi Cheruvu Udyanavanamu — Grade II

Children of Grade II went on a field trip to Jammi Cheruvu Udyanavanamu in Bheemili. The topic dealt was ‘Habitats’ in EVS and children were shown different habitats in and around the pond and the park. Some of the habitats were of butterflies, dragonflies, ladybugs, ants, fishes, frogs, birds, etc. By this activity, children learnt about different habitats of different animals, birds, insects, and reptiles.

Grade V: Guest Lecture on Non-renewable Resources

Mr. Swamy G. (Father of Tanya Swamy), Grade 5B, gave a guest lecture on Non-renewable Resources. By profession, he is a Mechanical Engineer. Mr. Swamy interacted with the students about how we get petrol, gas, and crude oil. He also presented a PPT and explained how crude oil is extracted from Earth. Students participated with great enthusiasm and came up with many interesting questions.

SDP for Grade 1: Guest Lecture on "Friendship"

Ms Silpa, Mother of Amogh of Grade 1, was kind enough to take time off from her busy schedule and share a story on "Friendship." She narrated a story about four animal friends and on how they help each other to save themselves from a hunter. The moral of the story was helpfulness and teamwork.

After the story session, children had an interactive session with their guest. Amogh also distributed some gifts to his friends. Children thanked Ms Silpa and expressed their gratitude by presenting a gift to her.

Appreciation Tree on Soft Board — Grade 1

"Bouquet of Appreciation" — this is the Appreciation Tree on Soft Board made for Grade 1. Each flower has a picture of a child and details like hobby, bus number, and birthday pinned on the flower. The leaves are also used to appreciate the child's work with stars, smileys or words of encouragement. The leaves will be given to each child at the end of the academic session as a souvenir — a reminder for all the good work they did in Grade 1.

Playgroup Activity: Painting and Printing

Painting and Printing are always amusing for the little ones. Children were given butterfly and duck cutters to dip into the paint and make a print on the plain sheet. This activity enables them to improve their fine motor skills, concentration, and identification of colours.

PP2 Activity on Different Kinds of Occupation

It is very important that the children should be aware of the people who help us in day-to-day life. Children were given a puzzle of people who help us and were asked to match the things which they use. This activity enables to increase the child’s awareness of the different kinds of occupation.
