'Graduation Day'
Graduation
Day was celebrated on 23rd of April for students of Grade V who graduated from
'Primary' to 'Secondary' level. Ceremony commenced with Principal’s speech to
congratulate students as they are moving to secondary level. Parents were also
part of the function to cheer their children.
Students reached
the hall with excitement in their eyes wearing graduation gowns. Class Teachers
were describing about each of them when they were given Certificates by
Principal. A 'Graduation Day' song was played to cheer up the young ones.
Teachers
were wishing children good luck for their upcoming years in the secondary
level.
CIE Orientation Program
Cambridge International Examination [CIE] Orientation
Program was held on 23rd April for parents of grade V students. The session was
conducted to make parents understand how the Cambridge Curriculum works and how
it is different from other curriculum. A video on Cambridge and its diverse
curriculum has been shown. CIE Teachers explained them subject-wise Cambridge
Paper analysis and uses of this university in India. Also a healthy and fruitful question &
answer session took place after the meeting where parents expressed their
willingness to join their children in Cambridge program for next academic year.
Creative Sundays
‘Creative Sundays’- a great way to enliven your
Sundays, while acquiring crucial skills in an array of activities.
A part of weekend voyager, ‘Creative Sundays’ is being
conducted to foster creativity in children. The second session of the program
is in progress with Origami workshop and it has turned out to be a reason for children
to eagerly await Sundays.
Origami workshop will commence through 4 sessions (90
minutes per session), on every Sundays, with the scope of learning innovative
things through novel methods.

Time To Celebrate…
Oakridge
initiative “ASK YOUR KID” series won the World Education Award 2013 in the
Innovation in Teaching Pedagogy category.
‘Ask your kid’ is an initiative where
mobile technology is used in a unique and interesting way for knowledge
transfer. Kudos to the Oakridge Visakhapatnam team for their innovative
approach towards the advancement of learning process.
