A lab activity on AIR

Students of grade V took part in a  lab activity in connection with the lesson AIR. Students were asked to bring balloons and to blow and inflate them. Through the activity students learned about the properties of air and  also demonstrated with an activity of inverting the glass tumbler in water trough. 

Learning Numbers

Kindergarteners are learning how to use the numbers. 

Culinary Experts

Students of grades IV, V, and VI learned how to make delicious Saboodana Khichadi during their culinary class.

"Elements and Atoms"

In connection with the topic "Elements and Atoms" the students of class-7 were given a demonstration on the reaction of metals with acids. Students performed reactions of metals such as zinc, and sodium with diluted HCL and could observe the reaction occurring vigorously evolving colorless gas.

Apart from doing these reactions students  are given a demonstration of identification of metals by FLAME TEST, where salts of copper, sodium, calcium, barium, and potassium are taken and tested  and could observe that each element showed different flame colors.

This demonstration evoked the enthusiasm in the students and they  actively participated in the activity.

POP & ART COMPETITION AT STEEL PLANT

A Parent Orientation Program along with an art competition was conducted on 4th of August for the children  at the Steel Club in Steel Plant, Visakhapatnam. Few ice breaking sessions were conducted for the children and their parents, after which the children had an art competition while the parents were engaged with a session on positive parenting and an activity on creative story telling. The winners were given a certificate along with a Trophy  by Mr S.L.N Rao Steel Club Secretary and by Mr.Hari,  Art master from D.A..V School Steel Plant.
