Lab Activity on Density of a Substance by Grade VIII CIE

Class VIII CIE students investigated to find the relation between density of a substance with mass and volume.
Each student is provided with pebbles of different sizes and measuring cylinders of various volumes. Students have to take the pebbles in the measuring cylinders and has to measure mass using top pan balance.
After knowing the mass and volume of the given pebbles, the students calculated density of the pebbles. Students recorded their observations and drawn conclusions from it.
