Students of class 9
IGCSE done a lab activity using screw gauge in connection with
"measurement". Students were asked to measure the diameter of a given
object using screw gauge. Observations are tabulated. Using the recorded values
students calculated the diameter of giving an object.
Students of class III, IV, VII, IX, X and XI were having their
club class where they learnt how to make yummy crispy bread roll.
Students of class
VII CBSE performed lab activity in connection with "light..."to
verify the laws of reflection.
Students were given
a plane mirror, paper, pins, white sheet of paper and a cardboard. Using this
apparatus, they proved laws of reflection of light. Students have to see the
image of pins in the mirror and place it on the paper, in such a way that all
the four lies on a straight line.
Students verified
on their own and proved the laws.
Students of class
VI CIE In connection with"measurement of time..." calculated the time
taken by their friends to read a paragraph, count the words in the paragraph

Students observed
and interpreted why do some objects float and while some objects sink. They
even found that few objects that sink in pure water floats in salt water.
By doing this experiment,
students Applied their knowledge of density factors and drawn out the
conclusions from their observations.
Students had fun in
doing this activity.
In connection with
lesson "speed." Students of class VII CIE performed an activity
to investigate the relation between the height of the ramp and distance covered
by the object.
Students used
planks as the ramp and measured the distance covered by toy cars each time by
increasing the height of the ramp. They found that the distance covered by the
car increases as the height of the ramp increases.
Students participated enthusiastically and draw the conclusions of their investigation.
A
practical of grade IX IGCSE was done by calculating magnification and
observation of different organisms under the topic CLASSIFICATION. The students
were able to identify characteristic features of various organisms and draw
them.
