Children
of Grade 1 participated in the Science Exhibition with great enthusiasm on 28th
February. A Model to depict ‘Day & Night’ was created. A piece of Thermocol
was divided into a blue-coloured half ‘Day’ — all the activities which occur
during day like Sun rising, waking up, going to school, playing in the
park, etc., were shown. Animal life like butterflies flying and birds chirping was also showcased. The other black-coloured half showed ‘Night’ — some activities
which take place during that time like Moon and Stars showing up, sleeping,
bats, etc., were highlighted.
Children
helped in cutting pictures from old books which were then pasted on ice cream
sticks and placed on Thermocol. The Model was placed in the Science Exhibition
and children proudly explained to the other students who showed interest in
their Model. It
was a great learning experience as our tiny tots learnt to make a model, shared
ideas, and worked in a team.
