Independence Day Celebration

67th Independence Day was celebrated on campus with gaiety and zeal. The national flag was hoisted by Principal in-charge Mrs. Rama. Our hearts filled with pride at seeing the dazzling tricolor, the symbol of hope and aspiration of our majestic nation flying against the backdrop of a glorious morning sky. What a splendid sight that was. There were Independence Day speeches in Hindi, English and Telugu by our dear students. They all expressed their love for their motherland and said that-this festival of democracy, is an opportunity for us to look within us and understand , that to keep the lamp of independence burning bright we need discipline, self sacrifice and a heartfelt bond with the brothers and sisters of India. Our sincerest hope for development will take shape if we have a mission of taking our nation to the zenith of its glory.
Nothing moves us like music does, this was true when Ms Krishna Veni sang a Telugu patriotic song. It inspired us and ignited a patriotic fervor within. The freedom struggle movement in Andhra Pradesh was a saga of patriotic zeal, popular outbursts against alien autocracy, and sacrifices to free the  motherland from alien domination. A spectacular acrobatic show was put up by the hostel students it was superbly entertaining and all were impressed by the  breathtaking performances by the talented acrobats. Prizes were distributed to the students.
We at Oakridge strongly believe that each child has a storehouse  of treasure within and it is our duty as mentors and facilitators to recognize true talent and give it a concrete shape.
