Tiny Tots
of Grade 1 were taken on their first Field trip to the Zoo. We boarded the bus and headed with a lot of
excitement . On reaching the Zoo two battery cars were hired for the Zoo tour.
Our first
stop was the cheetah which was pacing up and down, the striped animal - our
National animal, two baboons hugging and cuddled together.
Luck favored
us as we spotted the magnificent White Tiger and children were awe
struck on spotting it. The Hippo cooling
itself in the water caught the attention of our first graders, the colorful
parakeets were truly eye candy.
A walk in
the Butterfly garden was magical as the little colorful creatures were
fluttering all around us.
At the
end we visited the Emu family of Emus which came rushing towards us and excited the children.
Children
learnt about different animals, their food habits, and their Habitat. They also
learned that animals need to be protected and respected.
