A Picnic Day with Parents

Parents of Grade I, II, III students’ were invited for a Picnic at OIS. By evening, the school premises were filled with picnic revelry with all parents. Teachers took an active part by involving parents in all activities and Winners were awarded Prizes. Parents thoroughly enjoyed several events like cycling, tennis, cricket and soccer and felt great enthusiasm throughout the evening. Around 5 pm a high tea and snacks were served to parents and children.

Parents were seated in the amphitheater and enjoyed their children perform on stage. All the children were colorfully dressed according to their dances. Mr. Venkatramana (Art teacher) showed the audience how to make a photo frame out of waste.

Children sang melodious songs and the music was played by Anil and Mohammad. Grade I children were dressed up in colorful costumes made up of grace Paper to Dance for Ha-wine song. Grade II children were dressed up like teddy bears with colorful ears and ping pongs to dance for the song Gummy bear. Grade III children were dressed in beautiful costumes to rock for the song Gangam style. Children were also dressed in white and black costumes to do Yoga dance. It was great to see parents dancing with children on the stage. Greeting cards were distributed by children to the parents. JUGAL BANDI (camp fire) with tasty Kababs was served and it was followed by a lavish food with Delicacies.
