Parents of grade I, II, and III were invited
for a Picnic at Oakridge. By 3:30pm, the school premises were filled with
picnic revelry with the presence of parents. Teachers took an active part by
involving all the parents in activities. Parents thoroughly enjoyed several
events like cycling, tennis, cricket and soccer with enthusiasm throughout the
evening. At 5 pm a high tea was served to all.
Parents were seated in the amphitheater and they
enjoyed watching their children perform on stage. All the children were colorfully
dressed according to their dances. Venkatramana (Art teacher) showed the
audience how to make a photo frame out of waste. Children of grade I, II, and
III sang melodious songs. Students of grade I were dressed up in colorful
costumes made of grace paper to dance for Ha-wine song. Grade II children were
dressed up like teddy bears with multihued ears and ping pongs to dance for the
song Gummy bear. Grade III children were dressed in beautiful costumes to rock
for the song Gangam style. Parents were also dancing and enjoying with children
on stage. Greeting cards were distributed by children to the parents. JUGAL BANDI
(camp fire) with tasty kababs was served which was followed by lavish food with
delicacies.
