Oakridge Residential Campus

Oakridge International School is envisioned as a day-cum residential co-educational institution catering to students of classes Nursery to XII. Oakridge International School has started operating out of hired premises at Lawson’s Bay Colony in June 2008. In last two years of operation, Oakridge International School admitted day boarders from Nursery to class VIII and students are being admitted to class IX for the academic year 2010-11.The school timings are 8:20 am to 3:05pm and the Oakridge uniform is the same as that of Oakridge School.
The teacher- student ratio is at 1:15. The pre-primary classes have two teachers per section and there would be a maximum of 30 children in every section of each class. This year in the academic session 2010-11 the classes I to IX would move to its permanent 10 acre campus at Tagarapuvalasa in the fast developing outskirts of the city of Visakhapatnam. After moving there the school would add a new class every year with a pre-determined number of sections till the school reaches Class XII.

We would like to assure all concerned that though our present facilities are limited, we have in no  way compromised our focus of giving our students the opportunities of hands on learning from academic transaction that takes them far beyond the limitations of the either the syllabus or the traditional classroom and taking part in a wide variety of activities. Apart from pursuing real academics that makes them ask questions, read, explore, dream, formulate and test hypothesis all our children regularly take part in Heritage Studies, art and craft, dance, yoga, music, martial arts, physical training as well as several games and sports. In our own campus we have designed very good facilities for a huge variety of indoor and outdoor pursuits. However, there too the planned amenities would come up and be available in realistic phases.
